Daisy Duke

daisy 1

Name: Daisy

Type/Breed: Dog/Yellow Lab Mix

Age: 1 year

History: Daisy has heartworm – a completely preventable, treatable parasite that dogs really only get when they are not cared for properly.  Daisy has been treated for heartworm, and she’ll have to take it easy for the next couple weeks while she recovers, but in about a month she should be good as new!!

Home Type: Daisy has spent her whole life as an outside dog with her sister Lucy. Labs are very friendly and people oriented dogs, they belong in a home, not chained outside in a yard. The most amazing thing about Daisy is that despite not getting a lot of attention over the past months, she still loves people and wants to be with people all the time! She is very gentle with kids and friendly with other dogs. She seems to be pretty good with cats, and she’s a little more mellow and timid than her sister. Daisy should go to home with another dog. She doesn’t like being alone, and she looks to her canine siblings for reassurance.

How do I Adopt Daisy? To adopt Daisy, download and complete this Adoption Questionnaire and email it to Laura at LauraF at luckydoganimalrescue.org.  The adoption fee is $350, which includes the cost of heart-worm treatment, routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter.

Minnie

Name: Minnie

Type/Breed: Dog/American Bulldog-Pointer Mix

Age: 3 years

History: Minnie is a sweet, loving, wonderful dog! She enjoys nothing more than to curl up on the couch next to you, if you let her! Minnie is very mellow and calm and will make a great companion or addition to any family. She is great with people, kids, and gets along with most dogs. Minnie has not had an easy life and deserves another chance to find a great home.

Home Type: Minnie would love a home that will take her for walks and be given lots of love! She walks well on a leash, knows some basic commands and is mostly house-trained. Minnie should be adopted to a home that has another dog to keep her company during the day or has an adult home most of the time since she doesn’t like being alone in the house.

How do I Adopt Minnie? To adopt Minnie, download and complete this Adoption Questionnaire and email it to Michelle at MichelleF at luckydoganimalrescue.org.  The adoption fee is $280, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter.

After taking her home she found out that Gracie was missing all her teeth, making it difficult for her to catch her own food in the wild or even defend herself again predators. Since that time she has remained in foster care for the past year and a half with no applicants.
